Halotherapy

History of Halo Therapy

Although new to the United States, Salt Therapy has been around since the 1800's in Europe. Polish miners who noticed their frequent exposure to slat mines yielded positive results in their skin and respiratory health. Dry salt therapy was officially recognized as a therapy in 1843 by Polish physician Dr. Feliks Boczkowski who founded and opened the first health resort facility at the Wielczka Salt Mine in Poland.

Natural salt caves have been used in Eastern Europe for more than 150 years. In 1976 Russian doctors and scientists created the first Halogenerator, which replicated the conditions of salt mines. Halotherapy mimics the effects of long term salt mine exposure- condensing it into a 45 minute session.

How Halo Therapy works
A halotherapy session tends to last 20-45 minutes. It begins with the you relaxing in the our Salt room as the fine salt particles are released into the air. As these particles make their way through the airway, they remove bacteria and other pollutants affecting the respiratory tract. as inflammation and mucus buildup is reduced, lung function is enhanced, and easier breathing ensues. This is a form of "dry" salt therapy which helps to remove toxins and impurities in the body similar to " wet" salt therapies like gargling or bathing in salt water.

Why Try Halotherapy?
Halotherapy Dry Salt therapy makes breathing easier by cleaning the respiratory system, reducing inflammation and dissolving bacteria and pollutants lodged in the respiratory tract. Multiple sessions are recommended.  Great for...
